Dunx released the remix of his latest single ‘I Land At Sea’ by Howie B. today (September 16).

The indie rocker teamed up with Scottish trip hop artist Howie B. for the remix. Howie B., whose real name is Howard Bernstein, slows the track right down, adding synths and warped sound effects — “resulting in a psychedelic sonic trip.”

"I love the direction Howie took with the remix. It uses only a few core elements of the original and the tempo is slowed way down, leaving it very intimate and spacey. He said he wanted to take it to the swamp and I think he's done that, in a very futuristic way,” Dunx said about the remix.

Howie B. and Dunx's “symbiotic relationship” will continue, with Howie B. set to produce Dunx’s forthcoming album and the Irish/Australian songwriter slated to feature on Howie B.’s new album, Up On The Roof.

“I loved the rawness, delicacy, soulfulness of the original song and I heard a wee knock in my noodle. I can touch on that and take it somewhere else. I expressed that to Dunx and we took a Sonic Trip,” said Howie B.

Dunx is known for his behind-the-scenes work with U2, Inhaler and Sorcha Richardson but has put himself in the spotlight with his recent releases. The singer shared ‘Don’t Gotta Be So Bad’ and ‘Caribou’ in 2020 and dropped ‘One Of Us’ and ‘I Land At Sea’ this year.

The guitarist recently performed on the Hot Press Y&E series with a brilliant set:

The indie alt-rock artist is slated to drop a video performance and EP Live At The Clinic soon. The EP was filmed at David Curley’s recording studio during lockdown and features acoustic performances of all of Dunx's recent releases.
