Clap Your Hands Say Yeah announces Button Factory show

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Alec Ounsworth's indie-rock musical project, has announced a headline show at Dublin's Button Factory on February 19, 2027.

This comes as part of his upcoming European and UK tour.

The Philadelphia-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his debut with an extensive tour and a special limited reissue of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's self-titled album.

Before that, he released an intimate digital EP, Piano & Voice, which presented stripped-down, raw interpretations of his core material.

The last time Ounsworth performed in Ireland was September of last year when he put on a show celebrating his album's 20th anniversary, also at the Button Factory. This marked the first time in four years he had played in the country.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah was formed in 2004 by Ounsworth, Lee Sargent, Tyler Sargent, Sean Greenhalgh and Robbie Guertin. The group stayed completely independent from early on, hand-delivering CDs and vinyl records to local stores in New York and Philadelphia.

Over time, line-up changes occurred and, eventually, Ounsworth began operating the project as a solo endeavor under the same name - releasing records like Some Loud Thunder, Only Run and New Fragility.
