The NFL teased a potential appearance by his wife Beyoncé in a statement.

"Anticipation as to who Jay-Z might have guest star at halftime for the big game will now kick off."

"Of course, his wife, Beyoncé, will be atop the list."

Beyoncé performed at the Super Bowl in 2013. She also played the NFL halftime show for Netflix's first Christmas Game Day in 2024. It was the first time material from her album Cowboy Carter was performed live.

The 2027 Super Bowl will take place at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

The announcement came after the rapper's two shows at the SoFi Stadium last weekend. The concert celebrated 30 years of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. He brought out several special guests including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, and Jazmine Sullivan.

Jay-Z will follow recent half-time performers including Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Usher, and Rihanna.

Kendrick Lamar's 2025 performance became the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history, it also won an Emmy award for outstanding music direction.

Jay-Z released a statement about the upcoming concert.

"From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey."

"Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true."

Jay-Z became the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 2017, he was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. Over the course of his career he has won 25 GRAMMY awards.
