Bad Bunny becomes one of the many musician to have spoken out against ICE
Bad Bunny has shared footage of an ICE arrest in Puerto Rico on social media, in a video which appears to show agents detaining people in the street.
“Look, those motherfuckers are in these cars, RAV-4s,” Bad Bunny says in the clip. “They’re here in Pontezuela. Sons of bitches, instead of leaving the people alone and working there.”
ICE arrests in major American cities, including Los Angeles and New York City, have recently triggered a number of protests across the county.

“Se tiraron aquí en la Pontezuela. Hijos de ___… En vez de dejar a esa gente tranquila trabajando ahí.”

Earlier this month, an ICE investigator estimated that there are 20,000 immigrants living without legal status in Puerto Rico, according to the New York Times. NPR reported that nearly 500 immigrant arrests — 75 percent of which were Dominican nationals — have been made since President Trump returned to office. According to data from ICE, less than 80 of those 500 people detained by ICE have a criminal record.
Bad Bunny has become one of the many artists who have spoken out against ICE, including Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Joe Armstrong, Finneas, Addison Rae, Tom Morello, Shakira and more.
