Graham Norton and Philippa Dunne among BAFTA Television Awards nominees
The ceremony will be broadcasted on BBC One on Sunday, May 10.
Graham Norton and Philippa Dunne are among this year's BAFTA Television Awards nominees.
Norton is nominated in the Entertainment category for The Graham Norton Show, while Dunne is in the running for Actress in a Comedy for Amandaland.
The Channel 4 drama Trespasses, adapted from Louise Kennedy's novel about forbidden love in Belfast during the 1970s, is recognised in the Limited Drama category. It was written by Tralee native Ailbhe Keogan and produced by Donegal's Maria Mulhall.
Other Irish nominees include Dublin director Diarmuid Goggins with Code of Silence, Seamus Malone for Shaun the Sheep, and Siân Brooke for her performance in the Belfast-set police drama Blue Lights.
Broadcasted on BBC One on Sunday, May 10, the BAFTA ceremony will be hosted by British comedian and actor Greg Davies.
Across the television awards, Adolescence earned a total of seven nominations, alongside A Thousand Blows with three. Blue Lights, Amandaland, Big Boys, and What It Feels Like for a Girl are among the other shortlisted programmes.
Elsewhere, BAFTA announced the Television Craft nominations, separate to Television Awards. There, Adolescence also leads the overall tally.
Among the acting nominees this year are Colin Firth for Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, Stephen Graham for Adolescence, Jodie Whittaker for Toxic Town, Erin Doherty for A Thousand Blows, and Rose Ayling-Ellis for Reunion.
In the public-voted Memorable Moment category are nominations from Adolescence, Big Boys, Blue Lights, The Celebrity Traitors, Last One Laughing, and What It Feels Like for a Girl.
Last year saw nominations for multiple Irish actors and directors, including Nicola Coughlan, Lola Petticrew, Siobhán McSweeney, and more. Read more here.
