Check out 'Little Bit Closer' below
Sam Fender has brought together Adolescence director Philip Barantini and the show's star Owen Cooper for the music video to his song 'Little Bit Closer'.
This marks the second collaboration between the English singer and Barantini, who previously worked on the 2021 video for 'Spit of You', which also featured Adolescence co-writer and actor Stephen Graham.
"It’s so great to be working with Philip again, I had no doubt he was the right director for this piece. His video for 'Spit of You' was my favourite," said Fender.
He also added he was "elated" that Cooper would be in his video after seeing his "incredible performance" in Adolescence.

'Little Bit Closer', shot in England’s Lake District, sees Cooper leading a group of friends on a camping trip. His character reflects on themes of faith and identity, in line with the track, taken from Fender’s third studio album People Watching, which came out earlier this year.
Barantini, who also directed the BAFTA-nominated film Boiling Point, said the decision to work on the video was “an immediate yes.”
People Watching debuted at No.1 in the UK and No.2 in Ireland in January 2025, becoming the fastest-selling UK album of the year so far, with first-week sales exceeding 100,000. It is Fender’s third consecutive chart-topper in the UK and his highest-ever position in the Irish charts.
The release of the video comes just weeks before Fender begins a run of sold-out stadium shows across the UK in June. He will also be headlining Electric Picnic in August.
