The Coronas, Hothouse Flowers and more to perform at Púca Festival 2026 across Halloween weekend
The celebrations are centred around Púca, a shape-shifting creature and trickster spirit from Irish folklore.
The Púca Festival is currently happening in Co Meath, from October 29 to November 1, celebrating Ireland's ancient Halloween tradition of Samhain across the towns of Trim and Athboy.
Now in its eighth year, the festival is developed by Fáilte Ireland in partnership with Meath County Council, and features an exciting programme of community-centered events and concerts.
Yesterday, The Stunning played a show alongside Sharon Shannon Big Band and Mundy to kick off the four nights of festivities. Tonight, The Coronas and Hothouse Flowers will play sold-out sets and on Saturday, The Whistlin' Donkeys, Highstool Prophets and Mark McCabe are set to perform - find tickets here.
These concerts come alongside free open-air events such as the Lighting of the Samhain Fire in Athboy on Halloween night, combining a ceremonial flame with high-energy choreography, live traditional music and circus acts.
The following night, the Púca Procession: Gathering of the Spirits is set to take place through the streets of Trim - a blend of theatre, music, folklore and "shape-shifting spirits."
The Púca Harvest and Craft Markets will be open during the day in Trim, featuring traditional food stalls, local crafts and family-friendly heritage demonstrations.
Through the weekend, comedy and cabaret shows will also take place, including live sets from Enya Martin and Shane Daniel Byrne, and variety shows like Jerry Fish's Electric Sideshow Cabaret at the Trim Castle Hotel and the Samhain Circus.
Immersive daytime excursions include historical walking tours of Tlachtga, foraging and herbology walks, sunrise meditation and interactive workshops in Ogham for carving or mask making.
The weekend's celebrations are centred around Púca, a shape-shifting creature and trickster spirit from Celtic and Irish folklore.
"Púca and her misbehaving band of otherworldly characters invite you to visit the birthplace of Halloween to a festival that celebrates the original spirit of the season," reads the festival description on their website.
