Web Summit continues apace on Day 2
Lily Cole, Rio Ferdinand and Cathal Pendred among the familiar faces on show
The 20,000 strong crowd in Dublin for Web Summit 2015 once again converged upon the RDS for another action packed day.
Team HP was on hand as supermodel-cum-entrepreneur Lily Cole took to the stage to discuss her extraordinary success with Impossible, a social business which now boasts Wikipedia's Jimmy Wales amongst its investors. Based on the principle of individuals and businesses worldwide sharing their talents and gifts, it has spread to over 70 countries and seen the former full-time model left with so few occasions to revisit the day job she can count this year's photo shoots "on one hand".
The Sports Summit, meanwhile - curiously held in what music and arts lovers will recognise as a Spiegeltent - has seen Twitter enthusiast Rio Ferdinand discussing how social media has completely altered the perception of athletes, previously detached from the wider public discourse. The same issue was briefly touched upon in an interview with Cathal Pendred, but the new-found passion for MMA in Ireland meant the conversation focused on his UFC career.
