Dove Ellis to perform War Child fundraiser gigs
Ellis also featured on War Child's recently released Help(2) benefit album.
Dove Ellis has announced he will be performing select War Child benefit shows in the United States.
Alongside London's Mary In The Junkyard, Ellis will perform at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on May 27 and Bowery Ballroom in New York on May 31.
The announcement comes just weeks after Ellis featured on War Child's Help(2) album, with the Galway-born musician singing on 'Sunday Light' alongside Anna Calvi, Ellie Rowsell and Nilüfer Yanya. Other artists featured on the album include Fontaines D.C., Beabadoobee, Arctic Monkeys and Black Country, New Road.
Ellis' debut album Blizzard was released in December, receiving widespread critical acclaim. He is also set to perform a headline show at Workman's later this spring, with tickets already sold out.
Alt band Mary In The Junkyard released their latest single 'Crash Landing' just yesterday, with their debut album, Role Model Hermit promised to arrive on July 3. Last summer, the band supported The Murder Capitol at their Iveagh Gardens show.
Tickets for the upcoming benefit shows are available here.
