Wallis Bird signs major deal

Hot Press Yearbook cover star Wallis Bird – the aforementioned tome will be in the shops tomorrow – has signed a worldwide deal with Columbia Records excluding Ireland and the UK where she’s allied to Rubyworks.
As reported in our last issue, the Wexford singer’s New Boots album is due here on July 26, and gets an airing earlier in the month when she graces the Hot Press New Band Stage at Oxegen.
