Olivia Rodrigo and CMAT chat after Live Lounge cover: "I have done my research on Dunboyne"
Olivia Rodrigo covered CMAT's 'When A Good Man Cries' on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge last week.
Olivia Rodrigo and CMAT chatted over a video call today on BBC Radio 1, discussing Rodrigo's recent cover of CMAT's 'When A Good Man Cries' on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.
Rodrigo joined presenter Greg James to talk about her new album, you seem sad for a girl so in love.
"Mystery caller for Unpopular Opinion," said James. "But who is it going to be?"
Unpopular Opinion is a regular feature on Radio 1 Breakfast, where listeners call in to share their controversial or debated takes on everyday life.

When CMAT answered the call, James asked her about her reaction to her track being covered.
"I was listening to the song, and it didn't occur to me until that moment - that the word Dunboyne was going to come out of your mouth," said CMAT.
"I'm happy I pronounced it right," Rodrigo laughed. "I had a moment where I was like, 'Wait, what if I mispronounce it?' The first time I did listen to it, I thought it was Des Moines. But since then, I have done my research on Dunboyne, and now you have to take me."
CMAT mentioned her mural in her hometown, painted by Dublin-based visual artist Emmalene Blake, which was unveiled last year.
"I think that if I brought you, they would put a mural of you on the other side," said CMAT.
"Let's do it," responded Rodrigo. "Sign me up, we'll play a show."
Olivia Rodrigo was on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge to promote her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love - set to be released via Geffen Records on June 12. Alongside the CMAT cover, the Grammy Award-winning US singer also performed her latest single, 'The Cure'.
