Fresh from the release of her new album, the acclaimed EURO-COUNTRY, CMAT has shared a new cover of Tate McRae's 'Sports Car', recorded in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.
EURO-COUNTRY scored a 10-star Album Of The Month review in Hot Press, with Will Russell describing it as "absolutely masterful stuff."
"...this record is damn funny," he wrote. "But also shrewd with it. Like, Joan Didion shrewd – if you get the gag, you become a co-conspirator.."
'Sports Car', which features on McRae's third studio album, So Close To What, was released as a single earlier this year. CMAT gave the Canadian star a shout-out on social media last year – reposting news that McRae was back in the studio with the caption: 'shes our joni mitchell'.
McRae played two sold-out shows at Dublin's 3Arena in May – with the full live report available to read here.
CMAT recently announced her biggest Irish headline shows to date – with shows at St Anne's Park in Dublin on May 30, and Virgin Media Park in Cork on June 20. She's also due to play a sold-out headliner at Dublin's 3Arena on December 5.
