UPDATE: The Cult return to Dublin
Heavy rockers now play second date at Academy
Legendary Britsh rockers The Cult will return to Dublin for the first time since 2007 when they play the Middle Abbey Street venue on June 14 and a just added extra date on June 15. Tickets have sold out for the first gig but you can still pick up some for the extra date which are priced at €42.50, inclusive of booking fee.
The band will be playing a set that spans their long career as well as new material and have been playing a successful tour all over Europe, which if the band's Twitter updates are anything to go by hasn't tamed any of their rocker instincts. 'Picked up a nice black eye in Amsterdam , Beer glass thrown hits Billy's amp then ricochets into my left eye. All in good spirits.' was tweeted by lead singer Ian Astbury the other day.
Plastic glasses are advised for the Academy.
