Robert Grace announces new album My Fathers Son
New single ‘if you were gone’ out now
Robert Grace has announced his second studio album, My Fathers Son, which will be released on November 6. The new single, ‘if you were gone’, is out now.
'"My Fathers Son" is the album I needed to make. It's about navigating struggle, leaning on the ones who love you, and finding happiness where you can”, says Grace.
“'if you were gone” is about suddenly realising how deeply we depend on our loved ones while also fearing the emptiness their absence would bring.'
The new track follows the release of singles ‘Home’ and ‘Somebody Else’, both of which will also feature on the album.
The Kilkenny native first entered the Irish charts with his track ‘Fake Fine’, which peaked at No. 20 on the singles chart. His debut album, Happy Sad Songs, was released in 2024.
Grace is set to play a series of shows this month, beginning with two sold-out dates at Dublin’s Academy and The Set Theatre in Kilkenny. Later this month, he will perform at Wavelength in Cork, before heading to London for a show on September 19.
