Two exciting opportunities for Irish acts
This is the chance for YOUR band/act to play at Castle Palooza festival, and to have a music video produced by the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts! Read on...
Hot Press, in association with Castle Palooza, is providing an opportunity for an unsigned act to play at the boutique music festival, among acts like Mercury Rev, Norman Jay, Wave-Machines, and more.
To be considered for a chance to have your act play, just send us a song! E-mail an mp3 and contact details to OR post a CD of one song to 'Play at Palooza', Hot Press, 13 Trinity Street, Dublin 2.
Castle Palooza, Ireland's most intimate 2-day music and arts festival takes place in Charleville Castle, Co. Offaly on July 31 and August 1. See [link]www.castlepalooza.com[/link] for details and the full line-up.
Hot Press is also providing an opportunity, in association with New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, for acts to collaborate with students to direct and produce a music video. Students from the Tisch School of the Arts have directed and produced many professional music videos, including those of past winners Laura Izibor, Republic of Loose, and Delorentos.
The students, as a part of their Music Video Production courses, will provide creative input, production, direction, and editing of a professional music video for winners right here in Ireland. This unique opportunity will put your band’s music videos into the hands of students following the footsteps of Hollywood’s Oliver Stone, Alec Baldwin, and Spike Lee, all of whom are Tisch alumni.
To enter, please e-mail an mp3 of your track, along with a picture of the applicant(s) and a write-up about yourself and why you deserve to have a video made, in 250 words or less. Entries can be sent to , or through the post to 'Calling All Bands & Solo Acts', Hot Press, 13 Trinity Street, Dublin 2.
Good luck!
