Turn2me.org Announces Line-Up For 'Make Your Words Heard' Music Event
Charity aims to break the stigma of mental health
'Make Your Words Heard' is a free gig which will take place in The Village on Wexford St. on Thursday April 28, in support of online charity Turn2me.org - a mental health site that enables people of all ages to discuss problems in a non-judgmental and confidential environment.
The event aims to entertain and educate, and will challenge the culture that stigmatises those experiencing mental and emotional distress, e.g. by addressing the use of offensive words that society uses that can discourage those with mental health problems from seeking the help they need.
The line-up includes Von Shakes, The Kapitals, The Gandhis, Fred Cooke, DJ Billy Scurry and Mc Steve Cummins.
The event kicks off at 8pm. Admission is free and is limited to 500 people.
