Transition year band hit the roof
Dublin Transition Year ska band The Dynamicks brought the city to a standstill (well, not really), by performing on the roof of Trinity Street Car Park today.
They're not the first band to do this of course. Famously, U2 and The Beatles have both played impromptu rooftop gigs in the past.
The Dynamicks were launching The Coca-Cola Blastbeat final, which takes place in Vicar Street on Sunday May 6.
This competition is a business project for Transition Year students who form their own mini-music companies which find, promote and market young bands, such as The Dynamicks, for the chance to win €,5000.
The winning band receive a record deal with Blastspace records.
