Transformers hijack the Oscars!
Where are the Decepticons when you need them, eh?
Irish uber group-in-waiting, Transformers, will be making an impromptu appearance on Network 2 during tonight’s screening of the Oscars.
According to leaked reports (care of the bartender in The Gift Horse, Lwr Dorset St., Dublin 1) the group will be taking over the airwaves in an attempt to drum up some publicity as they vie for a slot on this year’s Heineken Green Energy bill.
"We blew the two hun we got off the bank for re-mortgaging the drummer’s gaff on a documentary to prove how good we are," explains frontman, X. "It’s a bit like Spinal Tap, except we’re better. There’s just over a month to Heineken Green Energy and if we didn’t pull a stroke like this, we’d never have a chance of playing on the gig. Hopefully Heineken will sit up and take notice."
Will they make it? Find out – tonight, Network 2, 11pm.
