They are Walter
Listen to the fresh new sounds of Walter...
Who is Walter and what is their caper?
Walter is not one but three - Conal McIntyre (piano, vocals), Jeff Timoney (bass, fuzz box, vocals) and Stephen Gilsenan (drums, vocals).
They've been racking up the support slot mileage, blinding Joy Zipper fans at the recent Eamon Doran's gig, and last night they rocked their first Dublin headliner at The Sugar Club.
How?
Well, we reckon their quirky, hook-laden, piano-based blend of melodic rock-meets-left-field pop is better heard than hyped. So here a tasty sampler from their We Are Walter EP:

Walter play support to The Revs in Dundalk (Spirit Store, May 31) and Bray Vista in Dublin's Crawdaddy on June 11. See them before anyone slaps them with the "Ireland's answer to Ben Fold's Five" label...
