Them Crooked Vultures to release self-titled debut album
The highly-anticipated collaboration from the rock supergroup made up of drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Probot), vocalist/guitarist Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Eagles of Death Metal), and bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) will be released on November 16 in Ireland and the UK.
The collaboration between the three musicians was first publicly mentioned by Grohl in a 2005 interview with Mojo, in which he said, "The next project that I'm trying to initiate involves me on drums, Josh Homme on guitar, and John Paul Jones playing bass. That’s the next album. That wouldn’t suck."
The album’s first single, ‘New Fang’, was released worldwide on November 2 as a free download, and fans have also been able to listen to the album in its entirety on the band’s YouTube page since November 9.
The record includes such classics in the making as ‘No One Loves Me & Neither Do I’, ‘Scumbag Blues’, ‘Interlude With Ludes’, ‘Warsaw Or The First Breath You Take After You Give Up’ and ‘Caligulove’.
Them Crooked Vultures can now be pre-ordered on the band’s website (www.themcrookedvultures.com).
