The Top 10 Global Recording Artists of 2015 Revealed

Adele has been named by the IFPI as the most popular recording artist across the globe in 2015.

The English singer/songwriter has knocked 2014’s winner Taylor Swift from her throne with the success of her record-breaking album 25.

The unique accolade reflects an artist’s worldwide popularity across all music formats: physical copies, downloads and streams.

It is, according to the trade body, the only ranking to accurately capture the popularity of artists on a global basis.
