The Séan Corcoran Series 2026 programme to feature Dónal Lunny, Landless and more
Tickets for the festival are available now.
The programme for the 2026 Séan Corcoran Series, set to take place from September 4 to 6, has been announced.
The annual gala concert, this year titled LAOCH, will take place at St. Augustine’s Church in Drogheda and see performances from Dónal Lunny, Landless, Macdara Ó Faoláin and more.
“This is our most experimental programme to date. I love it, I believe in it and I’m very excited to see how both artists and audiences experience it too,” Rósa Corcoran, the festival’s artistic director and curator, said.
Now in its fourth year, the festival will take place at several venues across Drogheda. It celebrates the late Irish traditional musician Séan Corcoran and sees live concerts, poetry readings, art exhibitions, dance performances and more.
“It is important to take the opportunity to acknowledge, recognise and celebrate those such as Séan Corcoran, Planxty, Skara Brae and Breandán Breathnach (to name but a few!) who laid the rails down on the track,” said traditional Irish artist Ó Faoláin.
In 2024, Ó Faoláin was named the TG4 Gradam Ceoil Young Musician of the Year and subsequently toured across Ireland. More recently, he played a concert August 1 at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin in Derry.
Lunny's latest live performance, meanwhile, dates back to 2024 with a gig in The Sugar Club, Dublin. In January, a feature documentary titled In Time: Dónal Lunny was released, celebrating his influence on Irish music.
Additionally, Landless were recently announced for an experimental concert in Dublin, set to take place August 6. They also have an upcoming show in Belfast September 19 at the Ulster Folk Museum.
Tickets for the Séan Corcoran Series are available here.
