Country singer Nicole Taylor has died aged 35
Her sisters Nika and Natalie thanked fans for their prayers, and nurses and doctors for their help.
Country singer Nicole Taylor, age 35, died of breast cancer several weeks ago. Her triplet sisters Natalie and Nika, with whom she formed the band Taylor Red, recently confirmed the news.
"Nicole, the oldest of us three sisters, will be greatly missed", Nika and Natalie said in a joint statement. "She was our leader and our best friend. We are heartbroken, but we know she is in Heaven and will see her again."
"We honestly thought she’d be healed here on Earth, but now she's healed in heaven", said Natalie in a video posted on Instagram.
"As some of y'all know, she was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2022, stage three. It was an aggressive type", added Nika.
The sisters from Mississippi formed their band in 2010. They released three albums, Red Roots, which was the band's initial name, in 2011, followed by The Middle of Nowhere (2012) and Triplicity (2014).
Nicole sang lead vocals for the band and played the guitar, banjo and violin.
