Ringo Starr announces new country album featuring Sheryl Crow and St Vincent

Ringo Starr has announced a new country album Long Long Road, set for release on April 24.

The announcement was accompanied by the lead single 'It’s Been Too Long', featuring Americana musicians Sarah Jarosz and Molly Tuttle.

Long Long Road will be Starr's second album produced with multi-Grammy Award winner T Bone Burnett. It follows on from the singer's 2025 album, Look Up, which marked his first number one album on the UK's official country chart.

"I’m blessed to have T Bone in my life right now and working with me on these records," said Starr.

"After we did the last record, which I love listening to, this one just sort of happened. I like to say sometimes I make the right moves, like you can go left or right at any point, and one of the right moves was hooking up with T Bone for Look Up, and now for this one, which I’m calling Long Long Road, because I’ve been on a long long road," he added.

The ten-track record will feature collaborations with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, and St. Vincent. Starr shared that the album also includes musical influences from guitarist Carl Perkins, who The Beatles covered on several occasions.

Ringo began his solo career in 1970, after The Beatles disbanded. Since then, he has released a total of 21 studio albums.
