The Matthews Launch New Video With Homeless Theme
Hot Press is the first to show the brand new video, for the band’s upcoming single 'Colourblind'
Hot Wicklow prospects The Matthews have launched a new video for their upcoming single 'Colourblind', which will be released on August 1st.
The band play their second Whelan’s headlining show on that night. The single immediately goes on pre-sale on iTunes, where it can be ordered.
The video deals with the theme of homelessness - a major issue in Ireland, and especially in Dublin, at the moment. The band are in the planning stages for an event, in October, that will be dedicated to the theme, and will raise funds for the Peter McVerry trust.
First, however, there is the single and the video. The track was recorded in LA, with Aerosmith and The Fray man Warren Huart in the production seat. The video was shot in atmospheric black and white by photographer Beatrix.
