The Mary Stokes Band working on new album ahead of August gigs
The artist will play two free gigs before the upcoming autumn release of their album.
On Friday, August 2 The Mary Stokes Band will headline the Whelan's Dublin Blues Roots and Brass Festival 2024, and on Sunday August 11, The Mary Stokes Band will perform at the Howth Roots and Blues Festival.
The two live shows come as The Mary Stokes Band are working in the studio with Pete Holidai (Pilgrim Sound) on their new album, billed for release in the Autumn of 2024.
It has been reported that the gigs will offer a taste of the new material - and some favourites from Mary, Brian, Sarah and the Band.
Special guests The Queen Bees and The Hornettes will be joining The Mary Stokes Band onstage in what has been described as "a real blast of blues".
The Whelan's Dublin Roots and Blues Festival will be a free gig taking place on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Joining the Mary Stokes Band on the Dublin's Roots and Blues Festival line up will be Mik Pyro with his Dublin Blues Cartel.
The second Blues festival The Mary Stokes Band are billed to play this summer is the Howth Roots and Blues Festival, which will take place on August 11.
The band will play the Tramline Stage Summit Inn Howth on August 11, which will also be a free gig.
The Mary Stokes Band are sharing the bill with legendary singer Mary Coughlan and Cavan rockers The Savage Hearts.
