The Fratellis announce shows in Dublin and Belfast

The Fratellis have announced a show at The Limelight in Belfast on October 22, 2027, and at the Academy in Dublin on October 23. The gigs will feature special guest Trampolene.

The indie-rock three-piece from Glasgow are celebrating 20 years since the release of their debut album Costello Music, which spent 83 weeks in the UK Top 100.

Two of their debut album's singles, 'Chelsea Dagger' and 'Whistle for the Choir', made the UK Top 10. The Fratellis also won a BRIT Award in 2007 for Best British Breakthrough Act.

Their most recent album, Half Drunk Under a Full Moon, peaked at Number 3 on Scottish charts and Number 2 on the UK Indie chart.

The band's members perform under aliases inspired by The Goonies. The lead vocalist and guitarist is 'Jon Fratelli' (John Lawlor), the bassist is 'Baz Fratelli' (Barry Wallace) and drummer 'Mince Fratelli' is actually Gordon McRory.

They have toured with keyboardist Will Foster since 2008, adding a trumpeter, saxophonist and backing vocalists after the release of Half Drunk Under a Full Moon.

Tickets to the Limelight and Academy shows go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. here.
