Bell X1 release new single ‘Atlas’ and announce third Dublin date
It comes ahead of their ninth studio album Good Bones, out November 13.
Bell X1 have released the new track ‘Atlas’, the latest single from their upcoming album Good Bones, out November 13.
They also announced an extra show in Dublin’s Vicar Street on November 29, coming in addition to previously announced dates on November 27 and 28.
The Dublin gigs are part of an Autumn/Winter Irish tour, kicking off in Wexford’s Spiegelten this weekend, October 17, followed by stops in Cork, Derry, Belfast and Kerry.
Check out ‘Atlas’ below:
Following recent singles 'But First, Love' and 'Coughing Up Butterflies', ‘Atlas’ is described by the band as “leaning into the freewheeling Americana of the Hudson Valley where we recorded, the endless skies and wraparound porches of the place.”
Good Bones was recorded with producer Josh Kaufman and engineer D. James Goodwin, at Dreamland Recording Studios, in Upstate New York.
"The record was made shortly after losing our friend and collaborator, Glenn Keating, and was a very heightened, emotional, but beautiful time," said frontman Paul Noonan on the album.
"Truly immersing ourselves in the making, without distraction and with open hearts, felt profound and cathartic. Glenn was talked about a lot and felt very present. Josh and Dan were very sensitive to this and brought such brilliance and care to the process."
Dublin musician and multi-instrumentalist Glenn Keating passed away on March 4, this year, at the age of 43, following a six-year battle with bowel cancer.
You can pre-order Good Bones here.
Tickets for the newly announced Vicar Street show are available here.
