The Lookalikes reunite for 30th birthday show
They're playing the Button Factory next month.
‘80s contenders The Lookalikes reconvene on September 5 for a one-off 30th birthday bash in the Dublin's Button Factory.
Signed to Riva Records by Billy Gaff – never has somebody been so appropriately named! – who was actually in town to run the rule over U2 but got pissed and missed their Dandelion Market gig, the Dubliners came tantalisingly close to cracking the UK with power pop gems like ‘Baby Don’t Leave’ and ‘Can I Take You Home Tonight’, which was played off the air by Radio Luxembourg. Indeed, they re-recorded the latter as a promo for Fab 208 DJ Rob Jones.
