The Killers keep the "big songs" rolling
Yet to release the next single from Hot Fuss, The Killers are already in the studio working on their follow-up album
The Killers, who received the compliment of being touted Best Visiting Live Performance at the Meteors, release ‘Smile Like You Mean It’ on April 23.
The release follows in the footsteps of ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’ and ‘Somebody Told Me’.
It’s likely to be the last single from bejillion-selling album Hot Fuss as they’re now in the studio working on the follow up to their debut.
Singer Brandon Flowers described their second album as likely to be “really similar [to Hot Fuss] but not to the point where people say it just sounds like the B-sides”.
“We’ve grown as a band but we still want to write these big songs,” he told XFM. “I want people to know where the chorus is and love it. And that’s what we’re striving to do. To get better but still have a pop sensibility.”
