The Frank and Walters live in The Pavilion
The band will perform in Cork on Wednesday 23 December with special guests Agbonlahor.
Tickets are priced €22.50 plus booking fee and are available from Pluggd Records, Tickets.ie and Ticketmaster.ie. Over 18s ID is required. Doors open at 8.30pm.
Ticket includes entry to the aftershow Club Night with DJs Ashley Keating (Franks) and Colm O'Sullivan (Red Fm).
After taking a break from gigging and recording in 2002, The Frank and Walters began writing again in early 2005 and released a double album, Souvenirs, in October 2005, followed by another album in April 2006, Renewed Interest in Happiness.
Special guests Agbonlahor were the recent winners of The RedFM Transmission Battle of the Bands. This indie band was formed by college friends Patrick and Dom in 2008, and is influenced by asymmetric schiz-pop (Forward Russia, early Bloc Party) and alt rock (Death Cab for Cutie, The Cure). The band's centerpiece and biggest asset is its boy/girl frontperson duo, Muireann and Patrick. A debut LP is due for some time in 2010.
