Cave In follow their recent Foo Fighters and Idlewild supports with headline shows of their own at Auntie Annie's, Belfast (February 18) and Whelan's, Dublin (19).

Formed in the mid-90s when lead singer Stephen Brodsky was a mere 15, they've been variously compared to Led Zeppelin, P.O.D. and Billy Corgan when he still had hair.

"I'm not saying that we're the next Nirvana, but I do hope in some way we can help kids out a little and do something to change the way people perceive rock music," says the aforementioned Mr. Brodsky.

Also upcoming at Whelan's on March 3 are Longwave, the New Yorkers who opened last year for The Strokes at the Olympia. They'll be plugging their new Strangest Things album which is produced by Flaming Lips and Gemma Hayes fader merchant Dave Fridmann.
