The Beatles and Elvis lots to feature at Ireland's first Pop & Rock Auction
Music fans can get their hands on memorabilia from acts including Elvis, The Beatles, The Stones, U2 and Rory Gallagher on March 21-23 at the RDS.
Musical history will be made from March 21 – 23 as the Minerva Suite beside the RDS Main Hall plays host to Ireland’s first ever dedicated Rock & Pop Memorabilia auction.
The holy grail for many a collector is lot 62, a copy of Elvis Presley’s 1954 Sun single, ‘That’s All Right (Mama)’ that has an estimate of €50,000 to €70,000.
The slightly more affordable lot 8 – estimate €3,000 to €5,000 – is a set of Beatles autographs directly relating to 1963’s visit to the Dublin Adelphi, their only Irish gig.
The Stones, U2, Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Christy Moore, Clannad, The Corrs, Imelda May, Dusty Springfield and Sinéad O’Connor are also well represented, with estimates starting as low as €60.
