Stating their case
Hope Of The States play Whelan's in October
Hope Of The States underline their ‘next big thing’ status on October 3 when they swing by Whelan’s, Dublin.
Recently signed to Sony, the Chichester sextet are one of the few bands compared to Radiohead who actually live up to the billing. Add in a soupcon of Coldplay’s pop sensibility and you can understand why the UK music press are in a right old tizzy about them.
Having created an underground buzz with their ‘Black Dollar Bills’ debut, Hope Of The Stars’ second single, ‘Enemies/Friends’, looks a top 10 cert when it’s released in late September.
