John Squire warms up for UK/Ireland tour with a sold out show in Glasgow
John Squire limbered up for his forthcoming UK and Irish tour with a sold-out show this week at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
The good news for fans planning to be at the Dublin Ambassador on January 25 – the trek's first stop-off – is that his set started with 'I Am The Resurrection' and also included 'She Bangs The Drums', 'Waterfall' and 'Tightrope'.
Along with the Stone Roses classics, Squire also played the bulk of his Time Changes Everything album which an ear-witness describes as: "Sounding ten times better live than it does on CD. John was a bit nervous at first, but by the end of the show him and the band were rocking."
The Jeanne Bekers among you will be interested to hear that the guitarist was wearing a shirt with the words "love", "hate", "prophet" and "loss" painted on it, and a selection of badges which included the Seahorses' 'You Can Talk To Me' single cover.
