Sound and vision
Music meets image for a special night at The Village.
Trinity College’s DU Filmmakers and Music Media Technology, in association with hotpress will present Projecting Sound, a night of original music videos made by student Filmmakers, at The Village, Wexford Street on Thursday, February 12.
Videos have been made in collaboration with bands such as Giveamanakick, Cirque, Shanbhala, Seamus Adams, and Ray Bradbury, who will all perform live following the screenings, along with a special guest star. Students from Trinity’s Music Media Technology course will also present music videos accompanied by their original music.
DU Filmmakers are a university-based production company, facilitating the production of student film by students of Trinity College. Projecting Sound began when DU Filmmakers invited bands to submit tracks that would inspire music videos.
Aspiring directors, producers, actors and film crews, from all fields of Trinity College, worked together on the project.
Alongside Projecting Sound DU Filmmakers currently have seven films in production. They also run regular screenings and workshops from the likes of director Liz Gill (Goldfish Memory) and cinematographer Tim Fleming (Black Hawk Down and Gladiator).
Tickets for the Feb 12 event cost E4 (members), E6 (non-members), E8 (non-Trintiy). They will be available on the door or in advance from the Trinity Arts Block.
