Shoot To Thrill: Promo ad released
Your ad could be screened at the Galway Film Fleadh...
Hot Press, in association with Carlton Screen Advertising, is offering film-makers, art directors, designers, animators and creative types generally a brilliant opportunity to stake their claim to greatness in a competition that invites people to make a 30-second Hot Press cinema ad.
The competition is supported by Windmill Lane Pictures, Ardmore Studios and The Galway Film Fleadh and the prize includes two days of post-production for the winner – to use on a project of his or her own – at new state-of-the-art facilities in Herbert Street and 1.5 days of studio time in Ardmore Studios in the 3,000 sq. ft. Stage 3 studio.
The winning entry will also be screened at the Galway Film Fleadh, while the winner will have free access to Seminars and Masterclasses taking place at the Film Fair. The winner will also see their ad on the big screens in every cinema in Ireland, in a sustained campaign that will run through 2013.
The distinguished panel of judges has been announced, which includes director Lenny Abrahamson, MD of McCann Erickson Orlaith Blaney, Managing Director of the Galway Film Fleadh Miriam Allen, Eoin Wrixon of Carlton Screen Advertising and Ian Jacobs, Creative Director at Windmill Lane Pictures. The panel will be chaired by Hot Press editor Niall Stokes.
The Shoot To Thrill promo ad has also just been released (see below). The soundtrack for the ad is Paul Casey's epic 'Big World' taken from his just-released 'Big World - Special Edition' album, which features live orchestra, brand new recordings and bonus tracks. The album is available from www.paulcaseymusic.com
The closing date Shoot To Thrill entries is March 1, 2013 – so if you haven't started already, it's time to get weaving!
