Shane on fan's petition
Shane MacGowan has issued an official response to the petition on his official website calling for the removal of Joey Cashman as his manager.
As reported last week on hotpress.com, the petition has the backing of Shane's father, Maurice MacGowan.
Reads the statement: "No business matters relating to Shane MacGowan should be conducted or discussed with Mr Maurice MacGowan or any other person claiming to represent him.
"All issues should be directed through Mr Shane MacGowan in person, or via his representative and long term manager, Mr Joey Cashman. This can be either direct or through the administration office.
"Any issues, agreements or arrangements not made as directed can be deemed to be unreliable and unconfirmed, and Shane MacGowan and his management take no responsibility for any situation arising as a result."
This one looks set to run and run.
