RTÉ 2XM to broadcast live from Hard Working Class Heroes
The digital and online station will carry 12 hours of live music from this weekend's showcase festival.
Host of RTÉ 2XM show, Dance Monkey Dance, Paddy McKenna, says the broadcasts will “feature interviews with a wide range of acts, as well as acoustic sets and live broadcasts from a temporary studio in Filmbase. We'll also have some surprise guests over the course of the weekend. All in all, we plan to produce really compelling coverage of the festival, and engage with some of the bands who'll be hitting bigger stages in Ireland and abroad over the next few years.”
Running from October 16 to 18 in six Temple Bar venues, HWCH this year features 99 live acts including Adebisi Shank, Dark Room Notes, Fiona Melady, Ham Sandwich, Heathers, More Tiny Giants, Robotnik, RSAG, Subplots, Super Extra Bonus Party, Talulah Does The Hula, The Angel Pier, The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra, The Kinetiks and Yes Cadets.
Tune into RTÉ 2XM on digital radio, online at www.rte.ie/radio and on Chorus NTL channel 944.
The walk up ticket price for HWCH is €18.50 per night or €40.00 for the weekend. Fans can log onto HWCH.net to listen to all of the bands ahead of the festival.
