Roy Keane short wins at Galway Film Fleadh
The man never satisfied with anything other than victory would be proud of short film based on his youth.
Rockmount, directed by Dave Tynan, won the Tiernan McBride Award for Best Short Drama. The announcement was made at the closing of the Galway Film Fleadh last night.
Produced by Michael Donnelly, the short film tells the story of the 11-year-old Keano growing up in Cork.
The football scenes were filmed at Rockmount's actual grounds in the Northside of the city, and Craig Keane Harrington (no relation) plays the already-combative young midfielder.
