Rollercoaster tour dates announced!
The Frank & Walters, Turn and Woodstar bring the Heineken extravaganza to a town near you...
As exclusively revealed by Hot Press before Christmas, the Heineken Rollercoaster Tour celebrates its 10th birthday with a 2003 line-up that includes The Frank & Walters, Turn and Woodstar.
Kicking off in Waterford's College Hall on February 10, the jaunt then stops-off at the Savoy, Cork (11); Horan's, Tralee (12); UCD Bar, Dublin (13); Student Centre, Maynooth (17); DCU Student Centre, Dublin (19); Southern Hotel, Sligo (24); The Foundry, Carlow (25); College Hall, Athlone (26); Dolan's, Limerick (27); UCG Bar, Galway (5); and Travellers Friend, Castelbar (6).
Turn fans will be able to get a first peak at Alan Lee, the band's new bassist who used to be with the now defunct Skindive. Unperturbed by the departure of previous incumbent Gavin Fox to Idlewild, they've completed their 14-song Forward album which will be released in March. By whom is the subject of much conjecture. Several majors have expressed an interest in securing Turn's signatures, but they may opt instead for a series of individual licensing deals. As ever, Hotpress will have the inside story for you first.
