Road Records film gets Irish screening
Followed by some top live music...
One For The Road, a short film about long-standing Dublin record shop Road Records, gets its Irish premiere on Sunday December 4 in Whelan's.
Directed by Mark O'Toole, One For The Road charts the story of how two music lovers, frustrated by the lack of vinyl records on sale and inspired by the burgeoning Irish music scene, went against the grain and established their own record store, gaining the trust and respect of customers, musicians and the city of Dublin itself. As time went on and the Celtic Tiger became a memory, their story came to an unfortunate end, as depicted in the 34-minute film.
Talented local outfit The Dinah Brand will be on hand to belt out some tunes following the screening. Tickets priced €8 are available now from [link]whelanslive.com[/link]
