Playas, please
Born to play it: UK garage pop megastar Craig David is the latest addition to the Heineken Green Energy Festival
Smooooove UK-garage-pop wunderkind Craig David has been confirmed as the latest addition to the bill of The Heineken Green Energy Festival 2003.
Following a long sojourn in the US doing promotion, hanging with music industry glitterati and generally getting unbelievably famous, Craig David will be making like his album title (Slicker Than Your Average) in the massive outdoor square at Dublin Castle, on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 4th. This should make quite a change from the last occupiers of Green Energy's Sunday night Dublin Castle slot (Muse, The Hives and The Revs).
So far, the Heineken Green Energy weekend looks like this (but keep in mind there's more still to come):
Thursday May 1st: Beck (Ambassador)
Friday May 2nd: Beck (Ambassador); Jaga Jazzist & TBA & Neosupervital (Village); Future Kings Of Spain (Temple Bar Music Centre)
Saturday May 3rd: Groove Armada & Moloko (Dublin Castle); The Vines (Ambassador); The Buzzcocks (Village); Hell Is For Heroes & Kinesis & Bluebird (TBMC); Hot Hot Heat (Whelans)
Sunday May 4th: Craig David (Dublin Castle); The Music (Ambassador): Electric Six & The Droyds (Village); The Wildhearts & Amen (TBMC); Soledad Brothers (Whelans)
Monday May 5th: Yo La Tengo (Ambassador)
(Brilliant, right?)
Tickets for Craig David at Dublin Castle, Sunday May 4th, are priced €34.50 and are on sale now.
