Paul Hourican heads Button Factory acoustic line-up
The Button Factory's recently-launched Acoustic Sessions continues this week with acts including Paul Hourican and Doug Sheridan.
Running every Monday night in the Button Factory, the Acoustic Sessions features guest performers each week, along with resident MC and performer, HP's own Gillian Verrecchia.
Tonight's (August 11) acts are Paul Hourican, Doug Sheridan, Saccade and Peter Doran.
Hourican, who has been likened to Damien Rice (who he has supported) and David Gray, plays in support of his recent album release Let The Enemy In.
Hot Press sees shades of Thom Yorke in Doug Sheridan’s Songs From Just Outside The House; Dublin’s indie rockers Saccade have won support slots with the likes of Delorentos and The Coronas off the back of their Choose Your Own Adventure EP; and Mullingar based musician Peter Doran impressed us with his Loudon Wainwright-like vocal on his 2006 debut Wood.
The free night kicks off at 8.30pm.
If you're interested in playing the Button Factory Acoustic Sessions – all bands and solo acts welcome! – contact Gillian on 086 1245392.
