Pat Shortt appeals for help over missing actor
Gerry McCann hasn't been seen since last Thursday morning...
Actor and comedian Pat Shortt has appealed to the public for help with regards to the search for 47-year-old Gerry McCann, who has been missing since Thursday September 26.
McCann, a friend of Shortt's and an actor who has appeared in Fair City and Raw, was last seen in Stillorgan, where he was being treated for anxiety at St John of God's Hospital. He is described as 5 foot 10, medium build with blonde/grey hair.
"It's very much out of his character not to be in touch with his wife, Andrea," said Shortt on RTE Morning Ireland.
"I suppose the whole message to people out there is if you do see Gerry to go up to him and talk to him,” he added.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Gerry McCann is asked to contact Gardaí in Blackrock at 01-6665200, the Garda confidential line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
