Palko debut album due
Cork band Palko are set to unveil their debut album Dreamers on March 31 with a special launch gig in The Pavilion, Cork
It kicks off at 8.30pm, and admission is €5. The album has been long-awaited since their well-received EP release in 2008.
Palko’s music is deeply rooted in rock, but influences span funk, soul, traditional and jazz. They have played alongside R.S.A.G and been finalists in Cork’s Red FM Transmission Battle of the Bands competition, as well as UCC and CIT Battle of the Bands competitions. More recently, Palko played support at the My Evil Ex album launch in The Pavilion, Cork.
Over the last two years they have played in venues throughout Cork City and County where they have established a strong fan base. Having already headlined in Cyprus Avenue and played in The Pavilion and An Bróg in Cork, they are preparing to hit the national live circuit this summer.
Dreamers will be available on March 31 from HMV, Cork, and is currently available for download on iTunes.
