OPW announce July salon music programme
The Office of Public Works has announced performances by the English Music Collective, Muzsikas and Lunfardia for their free salon music concerts this July.
This year, OPW opens three historic buildings for salon music from across the globe, including new additions the Great Hall at Kilkenny Castle and Castletown’s Long Gallery.
Curated by the Improvised Music Company, these concerts bring jazz, traditional and classical musicians into the very heart of Irish heritage.
The English Acoustic Collective, Muzsikas and Lunfardia join African stars Ballake Sissoko, Driss El Maloumi and Rajery for a series of intimate performances across the country next month.
All four acts play The Ballroom, Farmleigh, Castleknock, The Long Gallery, Castletown House, Celbridge and the Great Hall, Kilkenny Castle from July 1.
For the full listings, visit www.salonmusic.ie. Tickets for all events are free and are awarded by a lottery system on the site.
