Olaf Tyaransen film selected for San Francisco Film Festival
Hot Press writer-at-large sees short film honoured
Don’t You Know Who I Am, the short film penned by Hot Press' award-winning 'Writer-At-Large' Olaf Tyaransen, has been selected for the prestigious San Francisco Irish Film Festival. The festival takes place at Delancey Street Theatre from September 18th to 20th.
Directed by Paul Duane (Secret Diary of a Call Girl), the film stars Larry Love of Alabama 3 as a grieving rock star cast adrift in Galway. He's been told that Irish people don't care about celebrity. It turns out that they don't - but they also really want to make him aware of that fact....
The film premiered at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh and has already received some rave reviews; Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh tweeted that it was “supercool.”
The film will screen at the Delancey Street Theatre on Friday, September 19th, as part of the Short Stories, Tall Tales programme. It's also available to view online via [link]Distrify.com[/link].
