New weekend course for budding bands
If you’ve looked at Snow Patrol, Garrett Lee, Paul McGuinness or David Holmes and thought “I could do that”, check out the Skills & Thrills weekend taking place on November 25 and 26 at Ti Chulainn Centre, Mullaghbawn and Íontas, Castleblayney.
Aimed at people 16 and up who want to work in the music industry, the seminar kicks off in Castleblayney with a What You Need To Know About The Music Industry In Ireland session presided over by IMRO’s Keith Johnson, and two demo workshops hosted by Hotpress sage Jackie Hayden.
It’s then on to the free shuttle bus to Mullaghbawn where DJ Sean De Leer is running a Djing skills workshop.
The nights ends back in Castleblayney with a gig by The Walls.
Sunday finds Joe and Steve Wall running a songwriters workshop in Mullaghbawn.
