The twelve bands who are in the running to win a fab prize and support the likes of The Blizzards have been shortlisted.
The Murphy's Live 2007 competition fixes it so that two unsigned finalists each display their wares at six gigs around the country, where they're supporting some rather fine acts.
This year attract has attracted the highest number of entrants each hoping to win the grand prize worth €10,000 that includes an EP launch with Fifa Records, studio recording time, a national distribution deal, full PR and a six month management deal.
The bands chosen are:
Exit: Pursued By A Bear and The Citizen (supporting The Blizzards at An Bróg, Cork on 18 January)
Suddyn and The Chapters (supporting The Marshals at Whelan's, Dublin on 25 January)
Dirty Face Kids and Philtre (supporting Delorentos at The Granary, Killarney on 1 February)
The Distractions and ilya K (supporting Dae Kim at at Geoff's Bar, Waterford on 8 February)
Secret Police and Star Belgrade (supporting Vesta Varro at Dolan's, Limerick on 15 February)
Lost and SuperJimenez (supporting Hybrasil at The Sugar Club, Dublin on 22 February)

Four bands from the 12 will go forward to the semi-finals which take place in March, supporting either The Immediate or Duke Special.
Two bands from this heat will make the grande finale, where they'll support an international act on 10 May.
